Presentation of the Ohm Prize to Andreas Zmija

The Ohm prize of the department of Physics is awarded each year for the best theses. This year Dr. Andreas Zmija, a former ECAP PhD student, was awarded with the prize. ECAP congratulates to this honoured achievement.

Dr. Andreas Zmija wrote his PhD thesis on intensity interferometry ‘From the Lab to the Telescopes – Intensity Interferometry with H.E.S.S.‘ under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Funk. In this he described the development of measuring intensity fluctuation correlations with H.E.S.S. with the aim to measure stellar parameters, such as the extension. We wish Dr. Zmija all the best in his future scientific endeavours.
