Visit of the Emil-von-Behring Gymnasium

Just before the Bavarian summer holidays, 48 tenth-grade students and five teachers from Emil-von-Behring Gymnasium in Spardorf visited ECAP for an engaging half-day of astroparticle and particle physics.

The event began with an introductory presentation on astroparticle physics and selected ECAP research projects. The students then explored several laboratories, where researchers presented hands-on demonstrations and offered insights into their work. They learned about the challenges of scientific computing, methods for detecting neutrinos, exploring the gamma-ray sky, and the search for gravitational waves.
