Prof. Dr. Claudio Kopper joins ECAP
From April 2023, Prof. Dr. Claudio Kopper joins the ECAP. He takes over the Chair for Experimental Astroparticle Physics and will strengthen the research at ECAP with his work on the detection and analyses of high-energy neutrinos.
The research of the group will span astroparticle physics in general, detection of high energy neutrinos in neutrino telescopes (IceCube, IceCube-Gen2, KM3NeT, P-ONE), development of modern reconstruction and data analysis algorithms as well as detector development.
“I am thrilled to be a part of ECAP and to work within this exceptional facility. The groups here do amazing research and I am excited to join them in their mission to explore our universe!”, says Claudio Kopper in his office in the new ECAP Laboratory.
