Organisation and Governance
The Erlangen Centre for Astroparticle Physics (ECAP) is a research centre comprising research groups engaged in research within the scientific disciplines of astroparticle physics, astrophysics, and related fields. ECAP’s research is organised into topical research areas.
The primary objectives of ECAP are to:
- address fundamental and applied questions within its research areas,
- foster collaboration among the involved research groups and areas,
- provide the necessary infrastructure for fundamental research,
- disseminate scientific findings to the scientific and public communities,
- transfer technology from fundamental research into applications.

Code of Conduct
ECAP is an international research institution with members and guests from diverse backgrounds. We strive for an inclusive and respectful environment for members of the centre independent of their age, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, physical disability, religion, cultural and socio-economic background and stage or path of career or any other attribute. Advancing the development of junior members in a supportive environment is an important objective at ECAP.
