Research

The research focus of the chair (Physics Institute 1) is in the fields for neutrino and gamma astronomy. Embedded in the Erlangen Centre for Astroparicle Physics, different groups work on optical and acoustic neutrino detection with the ANTARES, KM3NeT, Amadeus and IceCube experiments, and in gamma astronomy with the H.E.S.S., SWGO and CTA observatories.
