Julia for High Energy Physics – First workshop held at ECAP
Enthusiasts and experts for the Julia programming language gathered at ECAP from 6th-9th November to pave the way for the use of Julia in High Energy Physics (HEP) in the first JuliaHEP workshop. Organized by experts from the field, four days were dedicated to tutorials, short presentations and discussions on Julia programming in HEP and fostering the application of this numerically-oriented programming language of the next generation.
Encouraged by the good resonance of 25 on-site participants and many more online, the workshop organizers are looking forward to numerous good initiatives and ideas originating from this very fruitful exchange. The JuliaHEP workshops will continue in the future at different venues to help the establishment of Julia in the HEP community.
