Quantastische Comics
For the 100. Anniversary of quantum theory, ELINAS, the Erlangen Centre for Literature and Natural Sciences, invited comic book artists to an open experiment – an artistic and scientific dialogue about quantum physics.
A three-day workshop was organised in Dezember 2025 in which the artists were explained to the concept of quantum by researchers from the Department of Physics at FAU.
The workshop also took place for two days in the ECAP Laboratory, and so the research with elementary particles from the cosmos could also be shown to the artists.
At the 22nd International Comic Salon in Erlangen, the resulting comics were exhibited, accompanied by lectures, discussions and interactive installations. In particular, the cloud chamber of the ECAP was also on site.

The exhibition ran until June, 14th in the ZAM and will be shown in the autumn in the Comic-Museum Erlangen and an accompanying book will be published this year.
